Who we are

American Ceramic Society Design Chapter of Southern California, or ACS So Cal for short, was established in 1945. We are a non-profit organization consisting of studio and production potters, sculptors, teachers, students, ceramic designers and technicians whose mission is to share and increase knowledge of ceramics with each other, and to expand public awareness and appreciation of the many facets of clay.

We are proud that some of our past presidents were the influential forces within ceramic art of the 20th and 21st centuries and that we continue to be leaders of the current ceramic culture.

Today our President, Susan Spohr, is working hard to make ACS So Cal a thriving community. We’d love to have you join us!
